Third-Party GC–MS Tested
Purity matters when choosing an essential oil.
Northridge Oak Frankincense Essential Oil is third-party tested using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, commonly called GC–MS.
GC–MS testing separates and identifies the volatile aromatic compounds present in an essential oil. The resulting chemical profile helps verify the oil’s identity and composition while screening for possible signs of adulteration.
Our Frankincense Essential Oil is:
- 100% pure
- Undiluted
- Free from carrier oils
- Free from synthetic fragrance
- Third-party GC–MS tested
We use independent testing as part of our commitment to providing pure, dependable essential oils you can confidently incorporate into your aromatic and personal-care routines.
Frankincense Essential Oil vs. Boswellia Extract
Frankincense Essential Oil and Boswellia dietary extracts come from resin produced by trees in the Boswellia genus, but they are not the same product.
Frankincense Essential Oil contains volatile aromatic compounds collected during steam distillation. Boswellia extracts and supplements contain different resin compounds and may be standardized for boswellic acids.
Boswellic acids are relatively large, nonvolatile compounds that do not carry over in meaningful quantities during steam distillation. Research involving Boswellia supplements or boswellic acids should not automatically be applied to Frankincense Essential Oil.
